Contemporary dance

Dynamics, movement, vigor, clarity and boldness, or perhaps tenderness, fluidity? In contemporary dance you are free to choose what you want in the moment. You can combine, experiment, add and create. This is a dance where YOU make the rules.

CONTEMPORARY DANCE

In this class, we will go through a very exciting journey, starting with relaxing and getting to know your own body, feeling it and understanding it, and ending with assembling a whole dance performance with advanced choreography. Everyone is welcome, with or without experience. We will work as a group, but I will also pay attention to the individual development of each participant.

All you need with you is a desire. But you also need water, comfortable and loose sportswear and socks (we dance in socks or barefoot).

Course duration

The exact period will be announced soon.

Group 1 (10 - 14 years old) : every Friday, from 15:00

Group 2 (15 - 19 years old) : every Saturday, from 12:00

Group 1
10 - 14 years old: 10 spots

Group 2
15 - 18 years old: 10 spots

 

For the smooth running of the courses we ask you to treat the attendance to the classes with responsibility. If participants accumulate two consecutive non-attendances or their overall attendance is not constant we reserve the right to suspend their entry in the course.

  2. General training to strengthen all muscles + working with technique of performing elements of the dance
  3. Range of movement 
  4. Balance
  5. Technical elements of dance
  6. Use of dance space
  7. Rhythm: developing body confidence
  8. Working in pairs
  9. Various games with a partner
  10. Team work
  11. Working with choreography: memory and creativity
  12. Preparing the final dance performance
